My last image for a while :)
A kind of follow-up to Pawface's image (Zeke being assumed to have killed or hurt Roscoe), without taking Roscoe's story much further but showing how his family take his 'disappearance' . . .
--------------Jot and Rin---------------
'Why?' Jot growled, frustration etched across his face. He shut his eyes. 'What's wrong with me? Can't I look after my family properly?
'Hush,' soothed Rin, nuzzling her mate. 'It's not your fault -'
'Isn't it?' broke in Jot, pain in his eyes as he took the loss of Roscoe like a kick in the gut. He'd hidden most of his feelings up until now, since the news that Zeke may have killed his young son. Now he and Rin were alone. He didn't seem to blame Zeke - at least, he didn't give the supposed traitor much thought. He blamed himself. 'I lost my young sister Tam when she was a cub - '
'You didn't. That wasn't you . . .'
' . . . I got you and me caught by Lagiza. Now this!' Jot gave a snarl of disappointment, hurt to his heart.
Roscoe lay in the darkness of Lagiza's underground home. Alone. Far from his family. Why was he here?
The young cub had been given a cavern where a little pool lay, for him to drink from. Light filtered down through a small crack far above, making the water glitter. It was something pretty in that darkness.
Spiders scuttled about, barely audible . . .
For the while, Roscoe could do nothing but wait - wait and see what would happen next.
Roscoe's sister Kira wept . . . .
--------------Drummer and Lynnie---------------
'Fresco? We need your help real bad.' Drummer and Lynnie looked down at the small blind creature sitting at his feet. The siblings were downcast but some fire and determination had given them an idea.
'What do you need me for?' the mole asked, his shiny nose twitching up at the lions he could not see, but heard and smelled with great clarity.
'Fres, you know the Auni wanted your help against Lagiza? Well . . .' Here Drummer exchanged glances with his sister Lynnie, who nodded.
'We need you now. It's a shot in the dark, mate,' continued Drummer. 'But maybe - just maybe - Lagiza's knows something about what happened to our little brother.'
