The wait is (almost) over : The Lion King has finally been officially announced for a release on Bluray. It will come Fall 2011! Which should give you all the time to get a Bluray player (I still don't, myself ^^)

Also, to give you a taste of what it will look like, I had access to an HD version of the film and posted more than 600 high-resolution screenshots of the first film! They will replace the old (bad quality) ones. Here are some samples of what you will find in the gallery (click on them to expand) :
Advice : Almost any of these pictures can be used to make a very nice wallpaper on your computer desktop!
NB : The screenshots from the two DTV sequels have temporarily been removed so that Grey Wolf can send new, better quality ones (from the DVD, not HD but still better)

Nonetheless, until the Bluray is released, that's the best quality we can get.
Anyway official Bluray would be great, I wish Universal do the same for Balto !!!

I can remember when I saw this as a little kid. I don`t spend much time if any time at all on TLK source, but I can sense that there must be some really happy people out there!!!!
