-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Working Titles

Whe the films creators frist thought of making an animated movie about lions, they referred to the idea as "Bambi in Africa." The first drafts of the story were written in 1989- Only then the movie was Called King of the Jungle.

2. On Safari In Africa

before they worked on the TLK, several of the film's creators spent two weeks on Safari in Kenya, studying how real lions live. They watched hunting lions, mothers with cubs and big male cats stretched out in the sun. One time they tied a rope behind there Land Rover and drove slowly as lion cubs chased the rope, Batting it and playing with it just like house cats. They made sketches and took photos of the playful cubs to help create Simba and Nala.

3. Animals In The Office

A wildlife expert brought a lion, a baboon and some vultures to the film studio so the animators could study certain behaviors. For example, in the movie rafiki carries a staff, so the animators had a real baboon carry a long stick aroung so they could sketch him in diffrent poses.

4.Mufasa...King Mufasa

The Creators originally imagined Sean Connery as the voice of Mufasa The Directors were looking for someone with strength and a sense of command in his voice, yet someone who could be a fun dad," but the idea sort of faded after they herd James Earl Jones he was so perfect for the part."

7. Rafiki's Song

Asante sana! Squash banana! We we nugu! Mi mi apana!(Roughly it means Thank you very much) Squash banana(Means your a babbon and i'm not

12. More Songs From The Stage

He Lives In You was going to be in the original flim but they thought the moring report fit perficaly with the movie so when they made TLK 2 they put the song in there

16. A Bad Guy In The Family

In the early scrips, Scar was a rogue lion who wasn't related to Mufasa. Then the filmmakers decieted that the story would be more emotional and scary if the bad guy was someone in the family. So they made him King Mufasa's brother.

19. King Mufasa's Ghost

The scene where King Mufasa's Ghost apperars to Simba was the last scene created for the movie. In the original script, mufasa died and reappeared. But the producers decited that Simba Really needed to see his father agian, so they created the scene with Mufasa's ghost.

@Wereberus: If you'd all like to see them, why don't you all just go to where I refered to? I said "Disney'd official web site's character pages". I didn't and don't need to back it up with a link when I gave detailed path in words. As in, go look it up if you want to see them and that they indeed include numerous errors just like I said.

I mean, if the source I refered to was some hard-to-find site, then I'd of course add a link, but it isn't. It's Disney's official web site, for heaven's sake. :D

@ Kopaisreal1:

"Mheetu is NALA'S brother, ElChivato,"

Why are you telling me this? As that's what I just said. That that book's information seems like a mistake.

Mheetu is NALA'S brother, ElChivato, and even though I knew most of this, I did NOT know about the Sean Connery-Mufasa thing. Some of the names I did not know also. Very imformative. :)

Most of those facts from the 20 facts are actually also on the DVD release's bonus materials, so they're not little known anymore. :)

And I'm 99% certain that the "Simba's little brother, Meetoo" is just a mistake by whoever wrote the book. Just look at Disney's official web site's Character pages and read other books. They're full of screaming contradictions and errors seeing to what the movie or tne Laserdisc says. 'Cause if it wasn't a mistake they'd mentioned that it was changed into Nala's little brother, Mheetu, but apparently they fail to mention that. So I doubt there was a change, but only a mistake in that book. ;)
