How The lion king 2: Simba's pride should have been

1. Kiara = Shani or Aisha/ Chaka / Timira / Zira = Bianca/ Vitani = Shetani/ Kovu = Nunka

In The lion king 2, Simba and Nala only have one daugther that is Kiara. But in the first script for the movie, Simba should had 2 cubs, that would be called: "Shani and Chaka". It wasn't been said who was the oldest, or how where their previous designs, since the changes have been done at the last instant. In the first version, Simba's pride should have 3 cubs: Chaka, Shani and Timira. In the very early versions Kiara was supossed to be called Aisha, but they changed it to Shani, and then to Kiara:

Shani should be Simba's daugther in the previous script of The lion king 2, of course Shani was just an previous name of Kiara, but her design seemed to be a lot different from Kiara's design. As Shani's was just an alternate name her story wasn't so different from what appears in the movie.

In Swahili Shani means " small and dark" or it can have others meanings as "adventure" or "curiosity". There's isn't an explanation for why the producers of The lion king changed Shani's name. (Since Shani's sound much better then Kiara)

Chaka

Chaka was supossed to be Simba's son and of course Shani's brother. Disney never did a design to him, he has only been mentioned by some producers of The lion king 2. Chaka has been removed from the plot because Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff (directors of TLK2) tought that Chaka complicated the story of the movie unnecessarily. Chaka is nothing related to Kopa in any way, since Kopa has been created under The six new adventures book universe, and the writers of the book are not the same as the directors of TLK. Also, Chaka was betrohed to a lioness called Timira. Chaka means "blazing sun" or "forest".

Timira

Timira should be Chaka's betrohed, but she has been removed for the same reason of Chaka, she just made the story a lot more complicated. Timira dosen't have a meaning in swahili, but maybe her name is a mix of Indian names like "Timir" means inferno.

Bianca

Bianca was Zira's previous name, it's quite fair that the producers had changed Bianca's name to Zira, since the first concepts Bianca/Zira was a wicked lioness, and the name "Bianca" comes from an Anglo-Saxon in origin, wich means "white" or "fair" and Zira in swahili means "hate"

Shetani

Shetani was Vitani's previous name, wich means "devil" or "supernatural power". Her name has been changed probally because of the meaning. Vitani's concepts are unknown, since it looks like that Shetani/Vitani was supossed to be more a background charatcer

Nunka

Nunka was Kovu's previous name. In the previous version, Nunka/Kovu was Scar and Zira true son, his sister was Shetani, but it wasn't said if he had an oldest brother. In the previous version, Nunka/Kovu was similiar to Scar, he had green eyes, reddish fur and black mane:

This image was an official concept of Kovu, but the colors are fan-made.

The reasons for changing Nunka's name to Kovu are quite easy to undersatnd, Nunka is just a different spelling of "Nuka" wich means "stink", and Kovu means "scar" in swahili. Despite that they just changed his name to Kovu after making him the adopted son of Scar, it makes much more sense.

2. The crystal cave or Outlands?

In the previous version of the mvoie. The home of the outlanders was supossed to be a big crystal cave, where Shani would get in and meet kovu/Nunka. Although the idea of the Crystal cave is great, I think it makes more sense that the Outlanders were exiled to a dead land and lived in a giant termite mound, since they were evil-followers of Scar. And I don't think that a lot of lionesses lived in this cave, as said in previous version of TLK 2, Zira would become allied to the hyenas, I think that only Zira and her family lived in that cave. And maybe the crystal cave, was in a dead land, with many boulders, with not many water and food.

3. Simba's death

Yep, thats right, in the previous version of the story Simba should have died during the ambush that Zira prepared to him. That's why I think that Simba's death was just an idea that the writers had, but they didn't wanted to put it on the script. But if Simba's death were really in the movie, it would exactly like the original ambush scene, Zira's lionesses would attack Simba and cover him with bites, but he would find a way to scape from the outlanders ambush. But Simba got really hurt, and when he arrived at the Pridelands, de would say: "Kovu... Ambush!" and die. But this wouldn't make much sense in the movie, since there was going to be a war and all, and Simba had to stay alive.

4. Zira and the hyenas

In a previous version of TLK 2, Zira would have joined the hyenas gang (Ed, Banzai and Shenzi) to execute her revenge, and the outalnders lionesses would not exist. But it's quite weird to think that Zira would become ally of the hyenas who killed her beloved and precious Scar, or maybe in that version, Zira didn't know that the hyenas had killed Scar. Besides, in TLK 2 movie, Zira was always blaming on Simba for Scar's death, so it makes a little of sense.

5. No love for the majordomo?

"Leeves brings voice to a flirtatious bird named Binti in the upcoming sequel to The Lion King. She obviously loves creating someone completely different."

In The lion king 2 first version, Zazu should had a girfriend called Binti, who would lately become his mate. But Binti was just cut from the movie for the same reaons of many other characters, she wouldn't have a big role or she was just a waste of time to put in the film. But in my opinion, They removed many characters who would be much bettter than many characters who maked some appearences in the movie.

Yep, that's it folks, this is how our beloved story should have been, or could have been. In my opinion, when we compare the concepts of the story and the finished story (the movie). It looks like that The lion king was a "book" before beign a movie, and the directors made the movie way different from the "book" (like always). Of course The lion king 1 also had a different previous version before become the most epic story ever, but the previous version of TLK 1 was "bad" when compared to the movie version. But in my opinion, the previous concepts versions for The lion king 2 story were much better then the movie, like what I said, it looks like that the first version TLK 2 was a "book" and the movie was just a ruined version of the story, what do you guys think?
