Hmm... Something Looks Familiar

Hmm... Something Looks Familiar

Ever watched a movie and saw something that reminded you of a different movie?

Have you ever watched a movie and get suddenly reminded of another movie? Well I have on more than one occasion. One of them happened to be when my little cousin was watching Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree. There's a certain character in the movie (Which was released in 1966) that reminds me of another. It is none other than Samuel J. Gopher. Who does he remind me of you may ask? Well...

Gopher it's Beaver of course!

Like Beaver (A character that helps Lady and Tramp in the first movie), Gopher sometimes whistles when he speaks. He's a hardworking gopher and is devoted to digging his tunnels. Sound familiar?

This has happened for 101 Dalmatians as well. Three characters from Lady and the Tramp  have made an appearance; Jock, Peg, and Bull. They are only there briefly in the scene when the dogs of London are barking the message about 15 puppies being stolen. Take a look;

And what's this? Is this Lady and Tramp I spot in the shadows? How interesting...

Movie Lady

Lady and the Tramp was released in 1955, so could it be that these characters inspired others? Even for a few moments they're there?

And folks, Disney did these on purpose! They are called cameos: a character with a VERY small role in which you only see for maybe a few seconds bu these characters that are REAL, not some characters that someone randomly created.

I also noticed the cameos while I was watching 101 Dalmatians. And not to mention, you can see Jock, Trusty and Peg in Oliver and Company during the song "Why Should I Worry?"

I've seen this happens in most Disney movies. Anyway, you have a very good sight! I used to watch 101 Dalmatian and Lady and the Tramp, when i was younger but i didn't remember this point.

Small but Determined
I noticed these too one day when I was younger and watched 101 Dalmatians. I was very confused when I saw them, wondering why they were in that movie and not Lady and the Tramp "where they belonged". xD

Actually, it's hyperlinked. The image I found was too big so I hyperlinked it to the word Jock. XD
