After successful broadway musicals such as The Lion King and Mamma Mia!, Stage Entertainment Touring Productions created a live ice show based on the Ice Age movies called Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure.
Indeed, Fox signed a partnership with the great specialist to bring Ice Age and the characters that the audience loves so much to a live ice show. Spread of 5 five years, the shows begin at Wembley Arena in London on November 2012, and then place in Europe and the USA in some thirty countries. Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure, based on an original story telling the Peaches’ kidnapping by a gang of hungry vultures, combine skating, aerial tricks, theatre, and puppets!
Directed by Guy Caron and Michael Curry, the show brings together more than forty international artists and music by Ella Louise Allaire and Martin Lord Ferguson. The characters are not quite puppets, but instead are people inside the costumes! New characters also make their appearance in this new novel scenario. The show, lasting nearly two hours, is expected to more than 30 countries on 5 continents on a tour of five years - enough to hear about our characters for a while yet!
Heres a behind-the-scenes video of the live show.
