Ginga Nagareboshi Gin was first released to VHS in 1986 in Japan and later released throughout the 80s to Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The anime first came out to DVD in 2003 in Sweden and Finland. It was later released on DVD in Denmark, Hungary, Norway and Japan.
