Chutora is the second oldest of the three Kai brothers and is missing his right ear (it was later explained in Shin Gaiden that marten bit if off). He has encountered Ben in the past as a puppy along with the rest of his brothers. The three Kai brother's were attacked by marten but Ben came to their rescue. When the Kai brothers (nicknamed the three devils of Kai) met the Ou pack for the first time, they didn't recognize Ben at first glance. The Kai brothers fought with the Ou pack. Chutora's opponent was Cross and he got mad for being paired to fight a female.After Akatora pointed out who Ben was, the brawl ended and all three brother pledged their loyalty to Ou and their cause. He is more relaxed compared to his other two brothers. Along with Kurotora he is buried in the ground as part of a trap for the Ou pack by Bill and Sniper's pack in Shikoku.

He is not seen in Ginga Densetsu Weed and is confirmed to die of old age.
