When Kob was a pup, Amos Slade bought him after a month he bought Coper. He played with Coper but mostly with Chief. He didn't like Todd and was obidient to his master, Amos Slade. He hated one thing of Coper, that he played with a fox. He counted days, when he will grow and kill Tod, and his master will give him bones.

When he grew up, he hunted well as Coper. He was the one to sit with Chief when he couldn't hunt like Coper. The day when Coper and Amos Slade were searching for Todd and Vixie, his master didn't take him. But he still came with them and helped Coper to search. But when Chief fell down and hurt his leg, he went to him. But after seeing that Todd was trying to save his master from the bear, he decided that he will make friends with Todd. And so he did. He also then became one of The Singing Strays, though he wasn't a very good singer.
