Gender: Male

Mother: He and his brothers and sisters lived with their mother in a Pet Shop for eight weeks before Horace and Jasper bought them for Cruella’s coat, at which point they never saw their birth mother again. Perdy is now his adoptive mother.

Father: Pongo is the only father Scruff has ever met; his birth father is unknown.

Siblings:  His adoptive siblings are the other ninety three Dalmatians, like Lucky, Roly, Cadpig, Patch and Dipstick for example. But his original litter is made up of Splatter, Bessie, Scruff, Chip and Magnifique (Maggy).

Breed:  Dalmatian, what else?

Mate: None. Far too little!

Crush: None yet. If you asked him, he’d say crushes were mushy.

Friends: All of the farm animals who aided the 101 Dalmatians on their way home from the De Vil Manor. Scruff is too tough to admit that his 93 other adoptive siblings are his friends.

Personality:  Surly, swaggering and prideful. One thing Scruff is not short on is muscle. He is not very smart or very kind. He is, in short, a bully, though his littermates (well used to his nasty manners) keep him in check. He is not a troublemaker in that he steals things or makes messes out of spite, but he causes the most fights. His answer to everything is brawn. The only good thing about having a brother like that is that Scruff will just as soon defend you from others as push you around himself. His motto is “Nobody knocks my chums down but me!”

Likes:  Pulling dumb pranks, proving his strength, making fun of his brother Pox, and wrestling.

Dislikes:  Long boring stories, the Thunderbolt Adventure Hour television show, and anyone who thinks they are better than he is. Because of his huge ego, “Gruff” gets into fights simply over someone saying they can run faster or jump higher than he can.

History:

The first eight weeks of his life, Scruff spent his time with his five siblings and mother in Percy’s Pets in London. Horace and Jasper (Cruella’s evil henchmen) were sent to Percy’s Pets to collect Dalmatian puppies for their mistress’s coat. They were taken to Cruella De Vil’s old mansion where ninety-three more puppies were being held. All of the puppies were in danger of being skinned for the mad lady’s precious coat, but luckily, and with a bit of help from local farm animals, one of the Dalmatian litter’s parents came and rescued them, taking all of the orphaned, kidnapped or bought pups home to the Radcliffe’s apartment and adopting them. This included a very happy Scruff and his siblings.

Relation to 101 Dalmatians: Scruff is now adoptive brother to 93 of the 99 Dalmatians, blood brother of the other five, and foster son of Pongo and Perdy.
