It really is a shame that nobody talks about this movie. It's another great flick of its time that faded into obscurity because of crappy marketing and/or a bad release date. I mean, it even won the Annie for best animated film over Hercules and Space Jam, and I honestly agree with that choice. Hercules is one of my least favorite Disney films and Space Jam I haven't seen in years but that film was very much just a product of it's time. I truly hope that this film gets the Iron Giant treatment where people start giving it more attention. I honestly adore the characters, the animation and the songs. It might be a little cliche at times but because the writing is so tight it hooks you in. I guess the only elements that bother me are the fact that the story is so overused and predictable and the pacing, which at times is good, but some other instances it feels like the movie is on fast forward. Aside all that, check out Cats Don't Dance. It really deserves at least one viewing.
