I'm tired of people saying "Koda is an orphan". Has anybody ever considered him having a dad? If so, is he in the movie? Lets find out.

Let's start with male bears in the movie:

This is Tug.

Tug is a Grizzly bear, like Koda. They both have dark coloring and most of the same markings. However, in the face, they are nothing alike. And when Koda showed up without his mom, wouldn't you thik tug would be a bit more concerned? In BB2, it showed tug with his cubs. Do the cubs look anything like Koda? No. I think tug is out of the picture.

Take a look at this picture.

Lets take a look at the bear to Tug's left. It looks like a female. Well that strikes that one out.

Then there is the one closest to his right. It has lighter coloring, complete different markings than Koda. However, it does have the right build.

Then there is the one farthest to the right. No... just no. Nothing is alike. Just no. 

In this pic we see Koda being social with a grey bear. They may be friendly toward each other, but father-son realationship? I doubt it. Plus, they look nothing alike.

I looked at a lot of other background bears that appeared in the movie, but none of them seemed to fit.

I personally think Koda's dad is alive but does not appear in the movie.
