To me, Lion King 2 was the best Disney sequel I've seen

It's about second best I've ever seen. The Rescuers Down Under was a better movie (heck I think it might have been better than the original Rescuers) but TLK 2 was certainly one of the better sequels.

I absolutely loved 'The Rescuers Down Under'...Anyways, I liked TLK 2 because of the good plot and the amazing songs.

I don't remember. I probably just was generally interested in a sequel to a film that had been my obsession a few years earlier and a sequel to something that had given many fond childhoos memories.

When I first saw it, I absolutely loved it, although, I can't say that now that I'm an adult in my early twenties. There are so many questions and loose ends, and the fact that Disney says that the cub at the end of the first film and the cub at the beginning of Simba's Pride are the same. They are not the same. And the plot... well, it's like Romeo and Juliet, except your main characters don't kill themselves to prove a point, whatever that is. Simba's Pride was good, but examining it now... it could have been so much better.

This has to be my favorite movie of all time. For the record, I watched it last night.

First, I love the whole Romeo x Juilet theme. Shakespeare is one of my favorite authors so, seeing one of his works made into a movie was magical - even if its a very common story.

In the first movie, the colors were paler and brighter and it seemed...eh. But I really liked the second movie because of the colors. Some would explain it as dark because of the darker shades of colors that was used throughout the whole movie. I liked it though because it seemed to blend with each other better then most Disney movies are where colors are flashing everywhere.

I liked the songs as well because not a single one was cheesy and overly dramatic...
"He Lives In You" - I liked how instead of using "The Circle of Live" again, they created a new song that had the same meaning as the song at the beginning of the first movie without basically repeating themselves.
"We Are One" - It gave a meaning to the end of the movie. Kiara, being a young cub, did not understand the meaning of what Simba was trying to tell her. At the end of the movie, she finally realized what he was trying to say to her and it helped her keep the two prides from starting a war.
"My Lullaby" - Zira obviously is furious at Simba for banishing her and she has come up with a plan to get back at him. But have you ever thought about that song? If you took out the fact that she was singing to Kovu, you would replace Lullaby with "Alibi".
"Upendi" - Some will say that this song was pretty pointless because it was just Kovu realizing he loves Kiara blah, blah, blah... But if you think back to the beginning of the movie - the song is sung by Rafiki who was told my Mufasa to get Kovu and Kiara together. So Upendi was Rafiki doing his job.
"One of Us" - This song lead up to how Kiara figured out the meaning to "We Are One" and how Simba did not actually understand the meaning either until Kiara stopped him from attacking Zira.
"Love Will Find A Way" - I loved this song and it was beautifully sung. Not much I can say about it either then the fact that I loved it!

I also loved every singly Outsider in the movie. I thought that their edgy appearance really fit them and gave them a raggedy, abandoned look. My favorite characters were Vitani, Zira, Kovu, Nuka, and Kiara. Some people think that Nuka was born with his scraggily appearance but if you watch closely, he is always infested my termites which cause him to scratch and rip out almost all his fur.

The only scene that I did not like was the scene were Nuka was killed by the falling log. The part where he is just about to be hit by the log, he has pure fear in his face. That whole scene made me cry and I had dreams, not nightmare, but dreams about that scene for a long time.

I really did not like Simba in this movie because of how overly protective he was of Kiara, how he treated the Outsiders, and how stubborn and quick he was to exile Kovu. Kovu clearly tried to help him but Simba banished him just because Kovu's family tried to attack him.

Overall, I really liked this movie. I have the sudden urge to go watch it again now. ^_^

I remember really enjoying this movie when I first saw it it was one of my favourites. I also remembering being scared because I thought Simba's lionesses were being eaten in the final battle.
