Anyone ever seen this one?

http://crocodilerawk.deviantart.com/art ... -315443003

This model I believe is quite rare, as I have not seen any other than this one. It is not the famous KFC model, or a Hardee Model. All it says on him is the (old) Balto logo, 1996 Amblin and Produced by Promotional Partner. Anyone else has the figure? It is a small Balto and he got some rubs here and there. He was purchased for 4 $ on Ebay and was shipped from Australia all the way up to Norway.

Anyone have some more info about this figure? It looks alot better irl than on this picture actually.
It has a white stand.. Thing.

And my KFC Figure came yesterday! *HAPPYYY*
I came around this guy while looking for the KFC. But he IS official. I'm wondering if there's more characters. I like this figure, even thou its "simple".

Let me know if you ever come across information about it.

Does anybody know how I can get in touch with Acanis? The creator of the Fluke site? I see from the site that he/she has lots of merchandise. Maybe he/she have seen it before?

I've checked the Fluke page but it seems kinda dead.

It's kinda hard with the ambiguous markings. Sorta looks like a toy you'd get in a kids meal, paint job and all.

What makes it more difficult is that there weren't any McD's Balto toys, and that it's obviously not KFC. We have Hungry Jacks here instead of Burger King so not from there either.
There is a fast food chain here called Red Rooster that did kids meals with toys. I don't remember any Balto toys ever being sold there but maybe it's something you want to look into as an option.

However you'd really have to ask the seller for any hope of confirmation.

I have contacted the seller now.
But as this is a guy who collects everything from TV and movies, I'm not sure even he knows.
Maybe he bought it second hand too!

I also asked if there's more characters in the toy series or just Balto.

Here's the reply I got:

"I believe this toy was also release by KFC in Australia in the 1990's. Promotional Partners often appears on products released in conjunction with fast food outlets in Australia. Often the toys released are different in different regions of the world.

We are glad you are happy with your item and hope this information may help?

Kind regards,
Margaret & Catherine"

Any Aussies here to confirm or deny this?

Well, I'm from Australia, so I should be able to help... but I don't really remember any Balto promotional toys at all since I was so young. However, it is possible KFC at that stage were using different toys compared to elsewhere.

I've seen this figure before, and came close to getting one a few years back on ebay but was outbid.
The seller is right though, it is from a fast food chain in Aussie, but which one I can't exactly say. I do believe Fluke (Aka Acanis) has this figure too. He'd be the best person to ask.

He's got his own site, and I'm sure he'd be willing to help you track down the source.

Alright! Thank you!!
Do you remember how much they went for?

And do you remember if there was more characters than just Balto?

I have already sent mail to the Flukesite. But has not gotten any reply yet.
Still it seems like a great find!

Yeah there were others (I think 4 or 6 in total including balto) The other toys were different though. But I can't recall exactly what they were. But they were from a fast food chain (Happy meal toy)
I've seen the whole set before but only in pictures. Balto is the only one I've seen for sale before. And it went for about 40 dollars or so, but it was MINT in its bag still. And this was about 4 years ago if I remember correctly.

And I see, well he may reply eventually. He's a busy guy from what I know. LOL.
Still a great find, you're lucky to have it.

If I can find the photo of the whole set that I once found, I'll link it here for you to see.

I can't get onto DA from my computer, but I'll bookmark this topic for future reference. I like to collect figures and the like, so this interests me.

Agreed. Everything about the toys is just as similar as the animated Balto. My big question is what was a toy like that doing down in Australia!?!?!!?!?!!!
