Hi everyone,

I just registered here yesterday so, I don´t have much to show really, but I have at least a few doodles I can present here!

I always notice that a whole ton of people use this Balto art style (off course always with a personal note), so, I thought it might be time that I jump onto that bandwagon! ^^

Now, I´m more of a cartoon drawer than anything, so Balto and Co. are very realistic, so basicly a 180 of what i´m used to draw (just look at my Avatar and you´ll understand).

I started yesterday with my favourite character in the series, Jenna, after I mastered her basics I can alter the construction to whatever character I want by changing little things here and there!
And as you can read from the drawings, (these are in the correct order) I´m having a hard time! ^^´ Its brand new terrain for me, its like learning to walk with your hands when you only walked on your feed before!

For now I´m focusing on the Head only, since thats the most important part, its shows the emotions and you recognize who the character is by his face!

I´m doing my best, but thats all I have achieved so far, please don´t flame or something because its not that great yet! I had my experience in some Sonic forums so, I hope this forum is more like the Jungledyret.com forum, just friendly people that help eachother! :)
Help is appreciated, and constructive critisissm aswell!

These drawings were all done in an hour, so, its not much, and you´ll notice, I switched a lot to my actual style here and there, those small doodles were mainly done to relax a bit, I just sorted all of em and melted them together to one big pic! ^^ I should also point out that these are my first tries in drawing ANY character from Balto! Anyway, enjoy! :)

Thanks! :)

I can tell you right now, once I start doing the body aswell, things are going to get ugly!
But I´m still focusing on the head for now, I wanna be able to draw her head/face correctly and as on-model as I can get from various angles!

To bad there are no model sheets for Jenna´s body on the net (just assuming since I haven´t found any yet)! :(

Update, some new doodles:

The Jenna with body is not that good! Seems that I have problems with the proportions... . :/

Update:
Some more Jenna´s! ^^´ I liked those two doodles so much that I decided to geve em some quick coloring! :)

Thanks! :D
Yes, but only for the coloring (and slight improvements when I messed up :alien: ). I´m not very good with actually drawing on a tablet, the lines look all yerky and shakey, they´re never as straight as when I would do it on paper. I also haven´t gotten around using Illustrator yet, so ... , Photoshop sadly doesn´t have vector and line correction! :/
I´m basicly doing the Inking (not in those sketches though, they´re only pencil drawings) with a Brushpen like Pen!

Here is an example of something Inked with this type of Pen I just mentioned (it´s not Balto related tough, thats why its only a link):

And another example of something I´ve done with a Tablet (a completely digitaly done picture, notice the yerky lines):

So, you should get the picture now! ^^ I´m an oldschooler when it comes to drawing I guess! ;D

Try using the freehand pen tool to outline... you right click and press "stroke", then right click again and delete path. It creates very smooth lines.

You've got the chest fur about right, which is what a lot of people struggle with I've noticed.
