I testing this theory someone told me: If you suck at Math, you're good at English, but if you suck at English, you're good at Math XD. I'm at the top of my class in English, but am close to failing Math XD. Which subject do you prefer?

English all the way! I always got top marks in it (and related "humanities"-type courses.) Math is the bane of my academic existence, the one stain on my otherwise untarnished report cards! XD Except for Geometry, I liked that. But I could never pass Algebra II. Urgh. I loathe math. Just can't do it. :[

I prefer English to Math but I'm actually pretty good at both XD. I got straight A's in English last year and around an A- or B+ average in Math.

I despise Math and English is one of my favorite topics, but I get A's in both . I find English more fun and creative than Math, so that's probably why I like it better. Then again, if you include 'Spelling' with 'English', there was one year where I wasn't too good at it ((Got a C+ in Spelling in Grade 5 XD))

I used to love math more than any subject in the world -- but that was BEFORE I got my very first C last year, which pretty much demoralized me into bumping English up to first now. I know. I hate to be like everyone else, but I prefer subjects that are more opinion-based, and have many right answers instead of just one...That, and I just have the most boring teacher on the face of the Earth... ...I think that's why dad signed me up for Psychology next semester. O_o Dingo wrote: The weird thing about this is that my two most possible career choices as of right now are an author or an engineer. Imagine that. Dad wants me to be an engineer, but I want to be an author. (Well, in part, anyways...I was actually leaning more towards a video game programmer. XP)

That theory seems to be right in most cases with people.. you've either got a brain which can handle such things as maths, science and all the problem solving subjects. Or you've got a brain which is good at getting the words out and best at language subjects. I'm best at maths and sciences, I usally end up with best results for them.
