''That collar should be mine, you scrawny excuse for a sled dog!'' the big red mix growled, as he lumbered over to where the champ sat, enjoying today's victory.
''You lost fair-n-square, Big Red.'' the smaller canine spoke, not looking over at the other dog.
''It's because the stupid race was rigged, there's no way your group of mongrels could actually beat mine!'' the red angrily spoke.
''My group of mongrels couldn't beat your group of mongrels?'' the champ grinned as he now turned his grown eyes onto his underling.
''Yeah- What? That's not what I said!'' the other dog barked.
''I think it is.'' smirked the tan dog.
''Was not!'' the bigger one concurred.
''IS not.'' corrected the slender champ.
''What?! Stop doing that!'' the bigger dog demanded, clearly getting frustrated as the conversation continued.
''Doing what?'' innocently asked the smaller dog.
''Shut up! I'm gunna rip that collar right off your throat! Even if I gotta break your neck to do it!" screamed the big dog as he lunged madly for the smaller one.
The champ, however, was too fast, he had lept out of the way, almost before the big dog could move. His lack of presence sent the furious red wolfdog slamming face first into the thick wooden beams that supported the boats all around them.
''Tsk, tsk, tsk... so sorry brother...'' the champ slowly shook his head as he smirked at the now unconscious beast. ''You're not the brightest, are ya?'' he asked as he stepped over the other dog and galloped off to his team's kennel.
The first litter's worst, meets the second litter's "best".
