What did Balto mean by "Eye Teeth"?

Date : September 06, 2010

Category : Film questions

Question :

In Balto 3, Wings of Change, when Boris needed help with his problem with Stella, Balto said:

"I'd give my eye teeth to fly just once! Why don't you?"

I even put it on subtitle, and it said that.

What did Balto mean by "Eye Teeth"?

Best answer :

"Eye teeth" is a colloquial or secondary term for the canine teeth present in mammals (including us)...the ones which are so pronounced in dogs and other canids.

Thus implying he'd be willing to make a heck of a sacrifice just to fly...even just once.
