Question :

Today I got bored of seeing the media center Xp theme on my computer. Since everyone has the new updated Vista look on theres. So I download something called Theme Cleaner or something and it ereased Media Center and XP theme and left me with the 1998 old fashioned windows theme. I was extremly pissed off! So then I go on Yahoo Answers to look and find the Vista Themes. And I find one! Then the guy says to go to that link a download it and you have it. So it worked! No I have a cool vista theme with the galaxy backround. Awosome! So now my pc rebooted and then restarted back up again making a very wonderfull vocal tune. Now it then said to sighn in I sign in then password. It took 2 freakn minutes for it to load my personal settings. Then it comes on where the short cuts and everything else is. So I click on Mozilla Fire fox to chat on Baltosource. Now my pc is always saying Not responding when ever I click on something. This happend 3 times I am very pissed off! Now I have to use my old computer. This is Bull. How can I fix this?

Best answer :

??? I can't even BELIEVE people answering such things...
A
computer PERMANENTLY messed up because you installed a theme? This is
a SOFTWARE issue, and when it comes to SOFTWARE, you need a SOFTWARE
solution, not replace the HARDWARE!
Clearly, what you need to do
there, is to remove the theme you installed, because it uses too much
of your CPU. Go to "Add/Remove programs", search for it in the list
and remove it.
If it doesn't work, try changing the theme
manually by right clicking on your desktop, "Properties", and choosing
another theme (the default XP one for example)
And if it still
doesn't work, the radical solution is to format your hard drive and/or
resintall windows XP. You don't need to CHANGE your hard drive...

To think that people are buying new computers because Windows got "messed up" :o I'm using the same computer since 5.5 years...and it works like a charm. And I'm using a Vista theme.

This question has been solved.

There's a possiblty you will need a new computer if you can not be
paitent with it.

Conay, you don't need to be rude and your not helping. Be apart of the sloution, don't fuel the flame. I Also have to disagree with you. I had a
Dell laptop last year and the moniter over heated and all the drives
were full. It had alot of problems. My cousin fixed it. Last I
asked him, he says it works great now. I have a nother suggestion. Replace the entire harddrive.

STadit, please watch your language.

Also, once you
permenantly mess up your computer, you cant turn back, i'm afraid,
your PC has passed away ;[

Anyway, it's your own fault,
maybe your computer couldn't take it, or it really was a vires,
however nothing can possibly be done on this issue.

@Conay-- How should you know? Mozilla Firefox and IE8 still works. It
just would click 1 and thats it. Documetns , Pictures , WMM , and
Media Player Work but nothing else since I downloaded a Vista theme. I
think I need a recovery CD.

WolftheHero-> Not everything has to be related to the site. It's most
reccomended, but not against the rules if it isn't. As long as it
isn't a question about another site, it's fine. This one is about
someone's PC.

Exactly as Mighty stated
