Personality: Cass, at first glance, may appear to be a shy and quiet female, but she's the exact opposite. She's boisterous, loud, and isnt' afraid to get in anyone's face. She's got bite and bark and fears no one. Cass is quick-witted and snarky, with a temper that can scare even the bravest of dogs. She can be mischievous, which gets her into trouble sometimes, and very pig-headed. She'll take advice, but then she'll brush it off and do things her own way. She's more street wise than anything and likes to pick on everyone, but those who know her don't take it to heart. She's very independent and prideful and never asks for help.
Though Cass may seem tough and robust, she's using it as a front to hide how she really is. She's insecure and has a hard time trusting others. She hates being alone and tends to envision the worst. She's easily insulted and much more of a follower than she makes herself seem.
Likes: Racing, snow, showing other dogs and rookies who's boss, bossing others around, being with others, and being comforted
Dislikes: Being left alone, when others try to help her
History: Born in Anchorage, Alaska to an inexperienced and young couple, Cass and her siblings were given to their owners friends who were getting ready to move to Nome. Upon arriving, Cass's new owners decided to sell the pups to sledders for money, but thought otherwise and gave them to an older man named Thomas McCreedy, who owned Doc, the pups' uncle. Doc took the pups in without hesitation and raised them as his own.
Cass had always been the most outgoing of the bunch, getting herself into more trouble than any of the pups. She liked to meet new people and wasn't hesitant to tell anyone anything about her. In other words, she was too trusting. Doc and her brothers tried to warn her about this, but she didn't listen.
She had met a questionable stray and quickly befriended him. Her siblings tried to keep her from him, but, once again, she didn't listen to them. The stray didn't exactly enjoy Cass's friendship and took advantage of her kindness, having her steal from humans and other dogs and earning her a bad reputation so humans could forget about his. It was then that her eldest brother, Bamse, had had enough. He chased the stray out of Nome and then turned to confront his little sister about what had been happeining. Cass finally realized what had been going on, too oblivious at first to realize it. Doc was disappointed that she hadn't seen what the stray was doing, but was glad that she'd learned her lesson.
From then on, Cass has steeled her heart over and doesn't trust anyone as easliy as before. Deep down, she's afraid she'll get taken advantage of again, but has managed to let a few dogs into her life. One of them being Don (c) Me, son of Balto and Jenna. (To be continued once I get over my writer's block)
Voice: Charlize Theron
Relation to Balto: Doc's (c) Universal) niece, has met Balto and Jenna through their son Don (c) Me, who is her best friend

Something about her image reminds me of Angel from Lady and the Tramp
2, despite the lack of physical resemblance. Must be the
expression. Also, I like the story. It's old and familiar, but one that bears abundant retelling. |
