Is goose is Boris?
I was watching Balto for Xth time when it dawned on me in none of the movies (Balto I, II, and III) Boris's true species isn't revealed.

We do know he is a goose with a Russian accent but we do not know what species he is.
I did some googling and research and didn't really find any russian geese matching Boris's description or coloring. When I was searching geese migration that go through Alaska this bird came up.

Recongize the coloring and markings on some of these geese? Does it look like the rascal comedian and caretaker of Muk, Luk, and Balto?

This may or may not be the exact goose species of Boris, but it could be one of few in the region.
If I have the species wrong, please do correct me

Snow geese are distinguished from the closely related and often confused Ross's goose due to the fact that snow geese have a black "grin patch" on the mandible, which Ross's geese (and, in this case, Boris) lack. Thus, Boris is actually a Ross's goose.
