I had a feeling they were going to do this.
Had anyone notice or seen this movie on advertisment? Yes it is called
BOLT.
A non pixar movie about a dog who thinks he has powers. His life was always on a t.v. set, but now he had to make a journey across America to find his owner, Penny.
If you don't know what this movie looks like, you could see this trailer on youtube.
Yes, another talking animal movie. The white german shepard (yes, movie reviews says it is a german shepard) doesn't even look much of its kind.
and the animation....
As moving on here, you could see that the two dogs are completely different. To my guess, I bet Disney only did little study on dogs. (probably not as much from Balto) Here are some differences about these two pictures.....
1st pic is more muscular and tall. Its legs are sturdy and good built. The tail is down while standing in that position.
2nd pic has a rounder head shape with the ears of a chihuahua! The nose is bigger than usual.
Also, the 2nd pic has scrawny legs, a less muscular body, the paws seem to be more complex, and the tail is short.
Yes, it is an animation movie, but would it hurt to do some research? The movie does look good, but look at Balto's work.
Here is a website about wolf-dogs, yes it is wikipedia. Seems pretty descent on the work the person had displayed on there.
But let's continue.....
and here's Balto!
Look at these similarities!
In both of the pictures, the paws are simple.
Back structure looks pretty much the same, sturdy.
The tails look almost the same! Both of the fur color seems like to reach at the same point of the tail.
The ears are both pointy, and Balto's seems very realistic just like the upper picture.
The legs are well- built like the upper picture.
Lastly, Balto's nose is simply just like the upper picture.
When I was reading the article in wikipedia, I saw something very interesting!
The interesting thing that said in the pretty decent article was that female wolves usually will mate with the male dogs. In the movie of Balto, his mom was wolf and his dad was dog. Since that Universal studied on dogs, maybe they did this research about the female wolf and male dog. Appealing, isn't it?
My point here is that I feel bad that Balto didn't have much respect and honor when released into the theaters. Such beautiful work I think was put into this movie very well. Then, you're going to have this Disney movie with little and less research, and more and more little children will hear Bolt's name then Balto. This movie would probably get more respect because it is well..... Disney! It is now getting iratating that these two companies are attacking by the throat, trying to make a better animation movie than the other.
In my opinion, Bolt seems a movie of less detail. Yes, I think it does seem fun to watch, but the story plot does not trigger me. I wonder what the reviews would be for this movie when it will come to theaters...
Thank you for reading my article! I hope you can understand my point here, because I did a lot of work into this article! Here are some resources I had gotten my pictures from.
Mainly I had gotten my pictures from google images.
Please tell me if you liked my article or not! I want to here from you guys if I should improve it from next time I write another article similar like this.
(No, I did not copy off this from anyone. This is purely from myself. I made it and I did not copy. So don't go commenting to me saying I had copied off of some one. Thank you very much.)
