Eclipse :
Hello Mr. Magon. Firstly, I'd like to thank you for taking your time to answer all these questions fans have been bombarding you with.
Now here's my relatively trivial inquiry. In Plunder and Lightning(uncut) as Baloo and Kit go save Rebecca and Molly, Baloo starts to ask Kit where he learned so much about the Air Pirates. At this time Kit was navigating and charting a course with a compass in hand with a pencil lying on the map. When he declared he was a former air pirate he snapped something in his hands before storming out o fthe cockpit. At first I thought it was a pencil but the way it looked from the previous angle was that he snapped the compass. Now I'm wondering how strong is Kit? is it possible for a 12 year old to snap a compass cause I couldn't? then again maybe all the compassses I keep buying for myself are to tough for me to break ^_^;
Thanks again for spending the time to read(and hopefully answer) this.

He's a bear... and a cartoon bear at that. And let's be honest, we were all watching a lot of Miyazaki back then (and were influenced): his boy characters always had a bit of that cartoony strength. Now Kit is not Conan Boy, or anything like that, but at certain times (like during great stress, or great danger), he gets a bit stronger than normal. And he's a bear; bears are strong.

Gummiberry Juice? I watched the scene again, and I didn't see that.
But he does drink a soda during his first encounter with Baloo (in the
sea duck), that may look like it. |

I agree with Mark. It's not out of character for Kit to do something
like that. (Actually, if I dug deep enough in my storage unit, I
could probably find that script and tell you what was WRITTEN. It
probably was the pencil that got broken, but you never know how it's
going to get boarded, animated, or edited.) Jymn P.S. If you look closely, he sips some Gummiberry Juice at the top of this scene. ;0) |

Good points XD I'm still curious as to what Jymn's response to this would be... or would that be asking too much? o.o |

Kit is really strong for a kid. You have to be in order to carry
Baloo's fat body around. Remember when Kit had to pull up a tied up
Baloo in Lost Horizons? Yeah. Not to mention all those spots where he
had to carry stuff bigger than his body weight. |

Well, I'd guess that being out on the streets all his life made him
strong, or at least stronger than your average 12-year old, he must
be, because he was strong enough to rip off the head of Molly's doll
later. That's all I can think of, I can't wait to see Jymn's reply to this. |
