In that same vein you mentioned the character of Wildcat was based on a pilot character from the movie "Fandango."

2.)Was there a character the story writer or the voice actor drew from to develop the character/voice of Col. Spigot? (other than Napoleon)

Blue for cold. Warthogs because the they are lumpy, ugly critters. We needed an animal that matched the dumpling-like thinking of the Thembrians.

About the first question - I've always been curious about that, too. A bunch of different species are found everywhere else, but Thembria. They're all the same (which I find intriguing.)
