starlioness :
hey Jymn, :)..
I just borrowed an All Dogs series DVD from my Libraray .. and I noticed that you wrote the EP, Seventh Inning Fetch?. if I remember correctly that episode explained why Itchy was on Earth with Charlie when he wanted to stay in Heaven at the end of the 2nd movie..
can you give us any of info on your part of the series?.. I don't know if you wrote any eps other than that :)
Jymn Magon :
Yes, I'm sure I wrote many episodes (tho' I'd have to go digging thru my files to determine which ones). I vaguely remember that we decided it would be interesting to show Itchy's love for Charlie by staying on Earth instead of returning to heaven. We knew it would be touching - so we did it. Stories get discussed like this - some are kept, some are tossed. I can't recall all the particulars... it's just part of the creative process. Sorry that's not a better answer. But if you could sit in on a typical day at a studio, you'd see how and why things get done. Often decisions get made on the fly because there's a deadline. You say something, and it's gets made that way. Then years later fans ask, "Why did you decide to do such & such?" Often it's a quick decision that soon gets forgotten... but the fans take it as gospel.

Yes, I can understand that...(I guess we shouldn't ask too precise
questions, it's been a long time ago and you did work on many
series...) |
