This is the first script version of the episode, after it's been renamed (see the "Bedevilled Egghead" article)

I won't be describing the differences this time, it's quite fun to watch the episode and read the script at the same time to notice them so I'll let you do it!

I can just state some major differences :

- A few lines with Broadcast Sally!

- There's supposed to be a storm and the sea duck is forced to land. Doesn't happen in the episode.

- Jymn (?) apparently didn't want to make the show too "cartoony", take a look at the notes about the sandwich for example.

- Some of Jymn's corrections made into the final episode, some didn't. For example, Jymn prefered Baloo to put his suit over his flight shirt, but in the final episode, Baloo takes off his shirt.

- He also doesn't want to give precise dates. "That was 1928" was replaced by "5 years ago". (yet no reference to the date is made in the final episode at all)

Unfortunately, this is only 14 pages, which is about 5-6 minutes of the episode. So obviously there's probably another version for the missing parts with other differences - which I don't have. (But I do have another script version which is almost final, and will be posted later)

"5 years ago" does not automatically means "1933". Different people wrote these, and it shows that the creators intended not to give a date because it's not the same universe and should not be "set in time". That way, the show is still relevant, and will be for many years to come!

Grace => Gracie, Don't worry about it. With the correct or not dating, I still love your fanfic Steet => I know that In that ep Baloo showed some feelings to Beckers, but... it's not the same without the Karny's crew :/

Steet: Because my fanfiction is set in 1938; which I claim is shortly after the end of the series. If Talespin was intended to be set in 1933, I'm in trouble. I can't just redo my fanfic canon now!!!

Oraki => Oh? I really like that episode myself, because it's the whole opposite of what one would expect to see in a kid show (the Thembrians camp and torture especially), it's kinda funny (they're not eating grual...but STEAM!!!), and it's one (the only?) episode in which Baloo goes to show he DOES have feelings for Becky.

Again; I can see that a lot of editing was involved in this episode, and now I see it seems the series was going to take place in 1933. Seeing as that detail was cut, and the script wasn't made widely available fans can just choose their own canonical year
