Talespin is a Disney TV series, aired in 1990 as part of the "Disney Afternoon" TV programme, and lasted for 65 episodes.

A plane crashes...
Following the success of previous series such as Gummi Bears or Ducktales, TaleSpin is a mix of genres : comedy, adventure, drama...

The story relates the adventures of Baloo, as a bush pilot in the 1930's. Careless and easy-going, he ends up working for a business woman named Rebecca for her air service : "Higher for Hire".
But life in the little town of Cape Suzette isn't easy, as the "air pirates" leaded by the dangerous and big-ego pirate Don Karnage, hijack and plunder the planes without mercy. Kit, Baloo and Rebecca

Baloo's life is about to change when one day, he meets with a young orphan bear : Kit, who despite being cute, seems to have a dark past...

On first sight, the show may seem like a Jungle Book spin-off, as three famous characters (Baloo, Louie and Shere Khan) are present - but this is VERY far from the truth, the show being very unique and creative on almost every side : clever and varied stories, great characters, good animation and orchestral musics...

And while this was a series "marketed" with kids in mind, it has different levels of reading, so that both kids and adults alike will love the stories. The show never hesitates to mention "hard" topics : money problems, jealousy, treason, war, death...while staying true to the Disney values!

In a few words, this is an animated gem that Disney should be proud of, and should SHOW it!

Animation at the Box Office - April 11-13

Rio 2 was released in American theaters this weekend and managed to top Captain America: The Winter Soldier on Friday. But it was not to last, and ultimately, it ended the weekend about $2 million short of 1st Place. Altogether, it managed a solid $39 million from its opening weekend. That's almost identical to its predecessor, which racked up $39.2 million. Considering it had solid competition this itme around, that makes its intake even more impressive. Combined with a foreign total of $125 million, Rio 2 has now earned $164.2 million worldwide. This means it's on track to easily [...]

Well, ladies and gentlemen, Animation Source finally has a Source for the biggest animated film in history. That's right: FROZEN SOURCE IS HERE!

The Source was entirely created by Hecate, and I translated it into English. So if you want to thank anyone, thank her! Also of note, this is the first time in forever that a Source has opened on both the English and French sides at the same time!

Animation Source Closes - APRIL FOOLS!

You will have 24 hours to back up your art, characters, and profiles before Animation Source officially goes off-line. That's right: after almost 10 years, Animation Source is officially shutting down.

As Steet said in his latest staff meeting, "Animation Source is getting too tiring to deal with. There are too many people complaining about characters, not enough people contributing to the inactive Sources, and too much drama revolving around certain members. The shout boxes are full of rude people, the questions pages are littered with guest accounts, and the forums are [...]

Animation at the Box Office - March 28-30

This will probably be the last news of this sort until Rio 2 releases, since animated films are not doing so good at the North American box office right now. So we'll be taking a 2-week break from this coming up here.

The highest-grossing animated film was Mr. Peabody and Sherman, which took in a respectable $9.5 million this weekend and placing 4th, behind holdovers Muppets Most Wanted and Divergent, and trailing behind 1st-place newcomer Noah. Given the competition, that's not too bad. To date, Mr. Peabdoy and Sherman has earned just shy of $95 million at the US box office [...]
