History: Garroway was born into a wealthy family. He studied weaponry from a young age and became well known in the Nottinghamshire county for his skill using the spear. From his very first lesson using war arms, he was set on joining the Crusades once he was old enough. However, when he reached adulthood, his parents sent him to work in the garrison of the Sheriff of Nottingham. He did his best and quickly became in favour of the Sheriff, who promoted him to captain of the whole garrison.
After a couple of years, Garroway thought himself ready for the Crusades. But the Sheriff was reluctant to dismiss his loyal and trustworthy captain just yet, and tried to prevent Garroway from going by raising his wages. So Garroway decided to stay on for another month or so.
Snarly was badly injured one night, when he and his men caught two of the Prince's farmers in the act of giving out Royal food to the peasants of Nottingham; there was fight and Snarly's shoulder and best fighting arm were severely damaged. Snarly was told by his doctor not to join any major battles in case of worsening his injuries. Thus he could never sign up for the Crusades.
He currently still works for the Sheriff of Nottingham.
