Fun for all birds of a feather, July 28, 2011

So very first review ever. (for this movie on this site, and for me to write) But hey, this movie really deserves a good review. So let´s start.

First off, the look: First thing you´ll say, colorful! But it is more than that. Look at all the detail, the feathers, or even the city of Rio at night. I admit, I´m not too much into GCI but this is what I think GCI should be.

Music: I downloaded the soundtrack from Itunes as soon as it was released. Anything more to say? The songs are really nice, there is no track I dislike. It gives you a nice summer-feeling. There where really talented musicians involved and you can hear it.

Characters: The characters where interesting. I mean who doesn´t love Rafael or Luiz and who could forget Eva? Okay I admit, the humans seem to be less intelligent than the birds but they are mostly just background characters anyways. And who did watch the movie because of the humans?

Plot: Yes we all knew how the movie will end. It was no suprise. Male and female set on a journey, seeming to be totally different, seen one seen all. But there is more than that. It has a real background, Spix macaws are an endangered species, no question.

Overall it is a very enjoyable movie with great characters and a wonderful soundtrack combined with an awesome look. This movie is fun for both young and old.
