Oliver 
& Company is a film released in theaters in November 1988, based on the classic novel, "Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens. It's is made by Walt Disney Feature Animation/Silver Screen Partners III.
This movie follows Oliver, an orange tabby kitten, who's just trying to find his way in the world. When met with Dodger and his crew, there's no telling what will happen.
This movie is set in "The Big Apple", New York City! This film features great animation as well as classic songs, one sung by Billy Joel, the voice of Dodger.
This cool video game project on "indiegogo" (a similar site to kickstarter) has just been funded, but as it's still running for a day, I thought some of you might be interested into it!
As the author says, "Among the inspirations I could quote Disney's "Robin Hood", the fables of La Fontaine, "Redwall", "Winnie the Pooh", "The Secret of Nimh", "The Dark Crystal", the paintings of Alan Lee, John Howe, Paul Bonner, John Bauer, and many, many others..."

11 commentsOn April 18, 1983, 30 years ago today, The Disney Channel began broadcasting all over the world. In the last 30 years, it has aired numerous Disney movies, television series, and everything in-between. If you were born anytime after that date, chances are you watched Disney Channel a LOT growing up. It's awesome to see such a milestone from the company, considering their original reliance on ABC to broadcast their content. (They now own ABC. Coincidence?)
