In Lion King when Simba came back to challenge Scar for his throne, Scar told Simba to tell the others that he was the one to cause Muafasa's death right? Did the pride believe Simba's confession until Scar said that he was the one who killed his brother?

Once the Simba said it, you see the Lioness gasp and jaws
open, meaning utter shock and disbelife that such a thing
could be true, and then Sarabi says, "No it can't be." (or
something close to it) meaning that she didn't belive it
either. Also Vetani has a point, I mean how could the pride
think that Simba a mere cub and Mufassa's son at that, have
killed him, and the fact that I'm sure an adult male lion
could hold back a young cub with his mere one paw. So on my
opinion the best bet is No they did not belive that Simba
had really killed his father, Mufassa.

because of what sarabi said "its not true tell me its not true" i guess they all had a hard time believing it so i guess they didnt really believe simba

well personaly, i dont think they did, because who would a cub like simba, cause his own dads death
