As a cub, Nala is very playful and frequently teases Simba. She defeats Simba in wrestling matches, hinting that she's a more skilled fighter than he is. She proves this point, in the second movie, when Pride Rock and the Outsiders fought, and Vitani attacked her. Nala matures as she grows up. When she runs into Simba, she didn't recognize him, but when he tells her it's him, she is overjoyed. They fall in love shortly but have a fight when he doesn't want to return to the Pride Lands. In the second movie, as Simba's mate, and as queen, she becomes a loving mother to her daughter Kiara. She is less protective and reminds Simba that their daughter acted just like him when he was younger. She also believes that Kovu didn't betray Simba.

He is the adopted son of Scar, but the fullblood cub of Zira. His siblings are Nuka and Vitani. He later mates with Kiara, becoming Simba and Nala's son-in-law. As a cub, Kovu was extremely proud to be an Outsider. He could make friends quite easily, but he was afraid of angered Pridelanders, like when he first met Simba and was trembling. However, when he grew up, Zira nearly succeeded in turning Kovu into a mindless monster and he had turned into a shell of his former self. He cared for nothing but the Outsiders and becoming king. He recieved a scar over his eye from Zira. But his shell broke, when he tried to teach Kiara to hunt. While having fun, him and Kiara accidently kiss. After that happened, it turned Kovu into a happier lion and he starts to become afraid of becoming Scar. He soon fell in love with Kiara and managed to stop the fued between the two prides.

Kiara is the daughter of Simba and Nala in the movie. Her grandparents are Mufasa and Sarabi, and her uncle is Scar. Later, when she is an adult, her mate is Kovu. When she was younger, her personality was similar to Simba's when he was a young cub. She's adventurous, headstrong and isn't afraid to disobey her fathers wishes. She quickly befriended Kovu though he was an outsider. When she grows up, Kiara and Kovu reunite, and eventually fall in love. Kiara chaged Kovu from trying to kill into a happy and very kind lion. She refused to believe that Kovu betrayed her father and even disobeys Simba by leaving Pride Rock to find Kovu. In the end, Kovu and Kiara's love was able to allow them to stop the feud between Pride Rock and Zira's Outsiders.

Nuka is usually shown to be extremely jealous of his half brother, Kovu, for being cosen by Scar as his heir. Thus shows Nuka giving Kovu such a hard time. He loved and cared for his mother, Zira, dearly. He caught her dinner and before he died he told Zira he was sorry and that he tried. Ironically he was more like Scar than Kovu ever was, for they both were envious of their brother, who would become king.
Voice Actors;
Andy Dick
He has a crazy personality. He's less serious than Scar and his fellowhyena, Shenzi. He gets hungry very easily. In the movie, he would have rather go chase wildebeests to fufill hs hunger, than follow Scar's plan to kill Mufasa. He got hurt twice, once by Mufasa and the other by falling in a thorn pit. He and Shenzi share a lot of different views, but he normally argues with Ed, since he is always picking on him for his injuries. In the first movie, they hear Scar telling Simba to stay alive, that it was all the hyena's fault. After Simba pushes Scar over the ledge, the hyenas, including Banzai, Ed and Shenzi attacked him and killed him.

Ed is the hyena who doesn't speak. It's not that he's stupid, it's just told he cannot speak, though that is never explained as to why he can't talk unlike the other two. He's mainly just a hyena who communicates with crazy laughter and has a permanent idiotic grin planted on his face. His eyes can't seem to focus on anything properly. His tongue is always lolling out, and on his ears, he has two round cuts on both.
Laughing Voice Actor;
Jim Cummings
The main character of TLK, and the main king of the pridelands.
He was born to rule, but was tricked by his Uncle scar that his father's death was his fault, so he ran away to the Jungle.
His uncle Scar had tried a few times for Simba's death to happen, the graveyard, and the famous TLK part, THE STAMPEDE.
Believing that he killed his father, Simba ran away. But when Nala comes to find him, he soon leaves to take back Priderock.

Sarafina is the mother of Nala and Mheetu, who doesn't appear in the movie. In the book, her along with a lion named Ni, helped rescue Chumvi, Kula, and Nala from hyenas. In the movie, Sarafina has only but one line, when she asked Sarabi what she thought. It is thought that Sarafina was in the second movie as well, when it was Kiara's first hunt and a lion has said "Oh my how you've grown!". There is no solid evidence to prove it was her. She is never called by name in the movie/movies, but in the end credits, it shows her name.
