Personality: Kota is loyal to his pride and to the people he respect. Due to his stubbornness, he easily can forget about the rules of the Pride-lands, and tends to break them. He's very determined to prove himself to his King, and he's hoping he can one day become the King too. Kota has a caring heart underneath his hard shell, but it takes a great deal for it to show.

History: Kota was born and raised as a pure Pride-lander, his mother was one of the lionesses in Simba's Pride, but his father was also in the pride, but he died before he got to know him. Kota was taught to treat others the way he wanted to be treated, and to respect his elders. However, his father wasn't able to teach him to control his anger, and he grew up with his temper. Kota fought in the fight against the out-landers. After Kovu became king, more outlanders came into the outlands, which included Nasuada. One day, while guarding some of the borders, she chased a gazelle across the border and he confronted her about it. Things were about to get ugly when Kovu stepped in, which actually made things worse when he too confront his sister. Later on, the outlanders decided to attack the Pridelanders, and they first went for Kota. He had many wounds on the neck, and before he blacked out he remembered Nasuada fighting the other lionesses.
