1. In TLKoB was said that Scar never had a mate or cubs. And it was some days before Simba`s return. So Scar never had any cubs and Nuka with Vitani are not his children.

2. Outlanders never was a part of Scar`s pride. When Zira sings a song "my lullaby" she says "I was exilled, left ALONE with no defense".

What`s my opinion? I think that Zira came to Scar`s pride after Nala left. She was pregnant and Nuka was with her. Zira fell in love with Scar and later she gave birth to Kovu and Vitani. Scar knew that Zira liked him and he chose Kovu to be the future king. The next day Simba came and Scar died. Zira couldn`t help him because she looked after her cubs. She blamed Simba in Scar`s death and Simba exilled Zira and her cubs because Zira loved Scar and she could be dangerous for Simba`s family. In Outlands Zira mets a pride of lionesses-gangsters. As I said, they were gangsters (remember, in SP most of the outlanders have lined eyes and some of them have they teeth knocked out). That`s why king Simba didn`t let them go to the Pride Lands. But there was a lot of food in the Pride Lands and outlanders dreamt to live there. When they met Zira, she told them that Kovu must became a king of the Pride Lands. Zira asked outlanders to help Kovu became a king. She promised to them that when Kovu will be a king, outlanders will live in the Pride lands. Later outlanders left Zira (after Kiara`s words) because they understood that "what are we supposed to gain by always fighting?" (the words of the one outlander from official SP comic).

3. Maybe Kopa really was. SNA are official and it`s no reason to think that they are not canon only because that it`s no Kiara in SNA. I think that Kopa and Kiara are twins. Remember, presentations on the end of TLK and on SP are rather different. Also in SP presentation of Kiara takes plase at the early morning. And in TLK presentation of the Simba`s cub takes plase much later. So that`s my version.

A cub from TLK is a boy and also it`s Kopa. Kiara was the first born and that`s why she was presented the first. After Kiara, Rafiki presented Kopa. But Kopa became Simba`s heir because he was a boy. Later cubs became older and Kopa got lost. Kiara became Simba`s heir.

But why Kiara wasn`t at SNA? Well, it was never said at SNA that Kopa was Simba`s only cub. So maybe Kopa spent more time with his parents than Kiara, because he was the future king. And Kiara was with Timon and Pumbaa or with her grannies at this time.

i belive Nuka and Vitani are Scar and Zira's. Her blue eyes can skip a generation. She looks alot like Zira and she doesnt have to look like her dad to be his daughter.

I think Scar and Zira WERE mates. I think they had Nuka and Vitani together. In a deleted scene, Zira said, "If Not for him (Simba), Scar would still be king, and I, Zira, his loving devoted queen." and one reason Nuka must be jealous is because he was not king when he was Scar's own son. In the movie, he says, "Scar wasn't even his father. He just took him in." I don't think Nuka would say that or be that jealous unless he was Scar's OWN son. Poor nuka. Not trying to start a fight with u guys, just stating my opinion :D

im not trying to butt in or start a fight, but why can't we ignore the tiny things or even the big questions, and enjoy the movies and the books? why does it matter? i have questions too and i agre with some people on her but i honestly don't care enough get in a fight about it. i just like enjoying disney and all the lion king stuff. so lets all just believe what we want and move on.

the lion king 2 is about simba's pride. where kiara teaches kovu and others that outlanders and pridelanders are one, because she says 'them, look at them, wot diffrences do you see' then simba realises that outlanders were his pride all-along, and realises covu isn't like scar, i think thats wot the film is basiclly abouy. xx

It's official Zira was not the only Outsider in Pridelands and was not banished alone or with just her cubs. The movie script that was released in 1998, says so in Rafiki's line: "But that is where Simba banished Scar's followers. Including his most loyal... "But Kovu had not only mother but also brother and sister." OK, let me rephrase: he said "with the other Outsiders" and not 'with your family. And the other outsiders could've been wherever the lionessess Nala gathered, were. Nala just decided not to gather those lionesses. Butu in my fanfiction, I had the other outsiders out hunting, being the only ones who still bothered to try from time to time.

"I'm more convinced that all the Outsiders were part of Scar's pride." But why there was only hyenas who were at Scar`s side during the battle? Zira could be with her cubs, but what about 15-20 lionesses? Zira could be on Scar`s side because she loved him very much, but I don`t think that most of the pride will be loyal to a king who destroyed their native land.

"Left alone with no defense." But Simba told adult Kovu "You were banished with the other Outsiders", not that you were banished with your mother. Hence, Simba had banished remarkable amount of outsiders. So I think "left alone with no defense" was just Zira being dramatic in search for empathy. Plus, why would you trust a person who dedicates a song to self-pity and hating on others? So, I'm more convinced that all the Outsiders were part of Scar's pride. "Maybe Kopa really was." He was not. The lead animator of Kovu, as in one of the sequel film's makers has stated that the film starts off where the first film left us and that the cub is a queen, not a king. As in that Simba and Nala had only one cub, Kiara, in the movie universe. "SNA are official and it`s no reason to think that they are not canon only because that it`s no Kiara in SNA." That's not the reason why the books are not official canon. The reason is the fact that they were not written by the original film's makers nor even refered to by them.
