I suppose I should get the bad news through first, eh? I've been meaning to announce for a while that there won't be a Timon & Pumbaa section, or atleast not any time soon, due to the fact that we've encountered some programming errors needed to complete the section. This piece of news came about in an obscure way. The previously-announced Pixar film involving dinosaurs has had its release date replaced with, you guessed it, The Snow Queen. However, there's a new piece of information emerging: The film is now entitled Frozen.

This practice of changing movie names is not new to Disney; before Tangled was released, it was advertised and produced under the name Rapunzel. The idea behind this is to make it clear that these films are aimed more toward families and both genders, rather than kids--specifically, little girls.

To celebrate the Christmas season, Animation Source has begun to snow! (Yes, snow!)

The "snow" season is forecast to last up through the end of December, into January, at least! If this turns out to slow your computer down too much, you can easily make it stop snowing by pressing the "Stop Snow" button at the top of any Source page. To start it again, press the same button, which will now say "Star Snow".

Snow has been a tradition on Animation Source for several years. Have fun watching it snow!

Today marks the final key date of the 1st Annual Animation Source Choice Awards before voting begins. Today I have gone over the animated films that were released in 2011, and prepared it to be released on January 1. I handed it off to Conay, host of the official ASCA website. As you may or may not know, the rest of the Gargoyles DVD may be released next year. Recently, some Gargoyles fans received news from Disney that they had "tentative plans to release the rest of the series in 2012".

For those of you who didn't already know, Bambi was adapted from a book, Bambi: A Life in the Forest by German author Felix Salten. Well, now Bambi Source as its own section devoted to the novel!

I have spotted a small reference to TaleSpin in the PC video game "Cargo! - The Quest for Gravity" which was released this year.

Ok, yet another news that will make visitors confused with our own TaleSpin Fan Comics project, but someone has posted some concepts for a Ducktales / TaleSpin crossover on DeviantArt, and I couldn't resist to show it to everyone!

I definitely think that such a crossover would be a definite winner, because the two series share a lot of common points (adventure being a big part of both), AND this would let us see some characters relationships we've never seen (Baloo & young scrooge? ah ah, love that pic!)

Hello members of Animation source!  Robin Hood source has had a complete facelift, and if I must say myself it looks MUCH better then before.  Please, click the image above and come check out the new design, it almost feels like a whole new site.

Being a Journalist has its ups and downs. One of my ups this past week was one that caught me completely off-guard: I was given the opportunity to see advanced showings of Cars 2 and Winnie the Pooh.

Why is this one important? Because that's the only crossover between the Disney Afternoon shows that has ever been made!

Sorry for the alarming and dramatic title, but I think all of the persons here has the right to know what's going on. Animation Source got entirely hacked, yesterday night.

The troll hacked a lot of moderator/administrator accounts to spam and to give permissions to his double-accounts and thus, made himself an easy way to take control and destroy the sites. I decided to demod every single staff member on the AS sites to avoid their powers to be misused. .

Animation Source is constantly trying to find new movies to make into Sources, and now it announces its very first CGI-film: Rio Source! What's most remarkable about this is that it was created in a single week by Aaeron DiNozo!

Rio is currently in theaters, so if you haven't seen it yet, please go and do so! It's a terrific film, and you're really missing out if you don't get the chance to see it! And be sure to check out this terrific Source!

- Aku is doing modelsheets, and has completed both Rebecca & Baloo!

- Mad Dog is involved in taking screenshots for references

- Derter and I are currently working on a 4-pages comic, which will be the introduction to the "2nd pilot" episode

Let's get started! First of all, there has been a LOT of updates for Sourcecast. When last we left our beloved podcast, Episode 8 had just been posted on Youtube. I am now happy to say that Episode 8 has been uploaded to Mypodcast, our hosting site, and can be downloaded on iTunes. We've been informed that All Dogs Go To Heaven 1 & 2, Anastasia and Secret of NIMH will all be coming up on Bluray, on March 29th!

This is kind of a shocking news to me, as I really didn't expect any company besides Disney to release any of their traditional features on Blu-ray anytime soon. I'm glad to be proven wrong! If these do well, maybe there's hope for Universal releasing Balto and both An American Tail on Blu-ray too?

Recently, there have been a lot of questions asked in the "Ask Questions" section of the Animation Source hub, regarding future Sources. It has been stated numerous times that there is a forum topic concerning this, which can be found here.

That being said, any questions asked in the future regarding Sources asked on the Animation Source hub will be deleted with VERY few exceptions. Hopefully there will be a list of future Sources available soon, but until then, if you want to know what Sources are in the works, refer to that forum thread I posted above.

So, here is the long-awaited Oliver & Company Source, dedicated to the 1988 Disney film! This is one of the most overlooked creation in Disney's animated films catalog, yet I always felt it was a simple but very enjoyable one. And I know it has a lot of fans!

It has just been announced that the new Disney Vinylmation TaleSpin merchandise will be coming on February 25th 2011. It will be available to purchase directly on the Disney Parks On-Line Store!

TaleSpin is the first Disney Afternoon set to be released! It's a LE 1000 edition (limited to 1000 units), so if you want it, be sure to order on February 25th! The price is $24.95. They didn't clearly say if it's an online exclusive, but I think it is.

Singing cartoons themes on Youtube has become a fashion lately, and I already posted one or two like this, but that one is the german version and it's very well sung!
