The Animation Source Awards was founded by Steet back in 2007 when he launched the "Balto Source Awards". The concept of the Awards was to place the spotlight on "unnoticed", but talented individuals who had created excellent work, whether it be artwork, fanfictions or videos. And unlike the Oscars, these awards are not popularity contests between users; they are awards to celebrate the works of talented members who have contributed to the sites sections.
The following year, Aniu Caelestis picked up the torch and hosted the 2008 awards. In 2009, there was no ASA show.In 2010, it was again hosted by Aniu, but became late and the results were announced two months tardy. In 2011, the ASAs were hosted by Conay, but due to a number of problems that arose, the awards never even finished. Samurott is taking over the awards for 2012, revamping them in a brand-new way. Keep checking back here for new updates.
