I know there's a topic concerning whether or not you liked the sequel, but I thought it a fun idea to ask which movie (the first or second) was better in everyone else's opinions. I loved the pureness of the first movie, though the details that became clear in the second and the increased dialogue made it more lovable. What are your thoughts? (:

I love both equally, so I voted "undecided". I think they both stand on their own as good animated movies, and the sequel supports the original very well, without detracting from it in any way. The dialogue more or less matches the colloquial style of the time period in which the original was made, the artistry (especially the backgrounds) is BEAUTIFUL, and I see absolutely no conflict between how the Great Prince was portrayed in the first one as opposed to the second. Seeing as the character had to have more direct contact with his son in the sequel, we were bound to see him interact more and talk more. He still started out as the aloof, distant figure at first...but by the end, I liked the gradual bonding process.

I voted 'undecided', because I, like JC, also love both films equally. Original is overally just fantastic, and the sequel fills the gaps of the first one perfectly, and is a great movie on it's own too. So yes, I couldn't just choose one.
