Nothing really got me upset in this series. Some of the stuff scared me in the sense that "I cannot believe they got away with that."; like the shooting gallery scene in Idiots Aboard! in the comics. No amount of orange spray paint was going to hide the fact that kids were shooting real guns at Baloo, Gorilla and Rhino goons. Then there's Dogs Of War, where the heels are TaleSpin's answer to the Nazi's after Disney promised that no Nazi characters would be on the show. Oops.

My basic answer for this question: I'm upset there was planned one comic, in which the origin of Iron Vulture and Air Pirates was planned to be revealed. Unfortunately, it wasn't published and makes me sad. :( That's why I read the Karnage and Air Pirates - related fanfictions, when I've got the spare time, including the origin ones. Especally The Mad Dog ones. :) I'm glad that the fans fill the hole with their own creations - more or less logical, but still creative ones :) And I dream that one day they'll do the new Talespin comics, in which they'll explain how the Air Pirate crew was made up and their first plundering missions (like they do now with the Darkwing Duck). I think Karny and his band have got the huge potential to make them the Disney equivalent of DC's Suicide Squad - funny and badass canine (mostly) characters at once with the interesting relations and psychological characteristics. :)

Hopefully; Tim Val Hal will help us in that regard, at least from a production standpoint. Who knows. Sadly; his book has been delayed, but he didn't release a timetable for when it could be released. Although; I would like to see more posts on his blog besides the Darkwing Duck stuff he already posted recently.

I hope also that it'll happen soon.

The Dogs of War opened up the reality that there will be a World War coming and the fact that Lost Horizons was a similar to Pearl Harbor without Japanese pilots or any mention of China or Mynea like the book" Drumming up business".
