"In preparation for animated films, artists often study real-life specimens. Can you guess which film Walt Disney was working on in this photo?"

I'm going to guess 'Bambi'.
Disney's Bambi's FaceBook has been posting images of their behind the scene type images.
The one above can actually be seen on our own Bambi Source [link].

But I found a few more that I thought others might want to see. I'd also like to hear your thoughts and opinions on the process on making the film.

"What happens behind-the-scenes of an animated film? Check out this picture of Peter Behn, the voice of Young Thumper, hanging out in the studio."

Random fact mentioned; did you know Bambi is a very visual film, with less than 1,000 words spoken through out it?

I've seen production images and the like of the pics above for Lady and the Tramp, Lion King, and others.
Debating on making a similar topic for those, but Bambi I feel REALLY needs more attention.

I think I saw this on the special edition of Bambi a while ago. :D I thought it was really cool how they interacted with real deer/rabbits/ect while making this film.

You're right, too, lol. Bambi does need more attention. :[ (It is one of my favorite animated Disney movies. <3)

Wow, this is great! Thanks for sharing! I haven't seen the movie Bambi in probably over 10 years. Makes me want to go watch it right now! :) Great to put a face to Thumpers voice too! I think it's adorable how the little boy is holding the rabbit :)

^ Thank you very much, JC! And for bumping this topic! 8D
I haven't looked at FB's Bambi page in a while, and
after doing so, I found some more interesting finds. 8]

Disney Animation Facts:

"To animate the character of young Bambi, Marc Davis studied pictures
of human babies' expressions, and practiced adapting them to a deer."

"A pair of live deer were brought from Maine to the Walt Disney Studios
in Burbank so animators could study their natural movements.
Appropriately, the deer were named “Bambi” and “Faline.”"

A character that didn't make it into the film, simply known as "Bee".

Another lost character (even though I believe there IS a chipmunk character seen in the beginning of the film):

Ugggghhhhhh, Disney why you no crop image?
