hey, anybody here remember the old tv program on pbs, wishbone? it was my fav show. who else thinks they shouldntve canceled the show? why or why not?

Oh yes, I definitely remember watching Wishbone a lot as a kid. I'm not even sure why it was canceled. But I don't think it should've.

Yeah, I miss that show. They probably ran out of episodes, or else made one based on a book they should have left alone.

This is true. Probably the ratings weren't high enough. Classic literature in this day and age far too often finds itself in the category of pearls cast before swine.

I'm not really into wishbone, but I used to watch it. If you ask me, I don't really care.

Ahhh Wishbone... I loved that show as a child! I even remember one year dressing up as Wishbone for Halloween... xD

I don't think they should have canceled those shows. They were good! They should at least have re-runs on. It was so much better than over half the crap they have on TV for younger people now. D<

But, like Dragon Tamer all ready said, it's ratings probably weren't high enough for PBS to keep it showing.

They shouldn't have canceled Wishbone! He was so cute, and he taught kids about famous liteture through fun stories and cute costumes! Oh god, now I sound like Oprah!

I agree with both of you. In fact it was one of the Wishbone books that largely inspired me for one of my upcoming fic ideas: Balto Treasure Island.
One episode I liked of the show was the one based on David and Goliath. Did they have any others like that one?

Never would have gotten through Cyrano DeBergerac without Wishbone. I owe my A in sophomore English to Soccer the Dog.
