Ahaha, no worries, I've had the same problem. For the longest time,
believe me. Now my main problem is front legs. I must say though, It does take a while. I work almost all day sketching and doodling, and it's still taken me about 6 months to get to where I am today. It does take patience, of course, but it's soo worth it in the long run. And, ohmyjesus, that backgroung is stunning! =D |

Yes, I understand that anatomy isn't easy to master, I'm no expert
either. Good luck though! |

Yes, hind legs (and for me, canine legs in general) are quite
difficult to master. I have spent many hours studying canine anatomy,
and it is definitely worth it. I'm still not a professional at drawing
correct canine anatomy, but I'm beginning to get the hang of it. It
will be time worth spent for you. c; |

@mighty, yeah, I know, I try to study it, but as one who also draws canines, you know it's tough to get the hang of it, I spent a while drawing A&O wolves (alpha and omega) there is really not much reality in there anatomy, I still have old habits, I need to learn the correct way to draw canine paws and legs, I found some tutorials that might help. BTW, thanks for the suggestions ![]() |

Nice job, but one thing that is bugging me is the way you tend to draw
hind legs. Kodi's are right, but Balto's hock area is much too tall.
Balto's front paw should also not be facing towards us, a dog's paw
doesn't move like that, it should be a side view like Kodi's. And
lastly, as I just observed, it would appear that Balto's left hind leg
is crossing over. I would highly suggest that you study canine anatomy. |
