Here Comes My Girl
:
A music video, using the excellent song "Here Comes My Girl", by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. This video demonstrates, through video clips and the lyrics of the song (and the excellent half-step melody) how Balto feels about his life (before the serum run) and Jenna! (My first video!)
East Bound And Down
:
A funny little bit combining the country stylings of actor/singer Jerry Reed and video clips from the cartoon movie "Balto 3: Wings of Change" (Universal Studios, 2004). "East Bound And Down" is a truck-driving song, written and recorded in 1977, as the theme for the movie "Smokey And The Bandit" (which starred Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed, Sally Field, Paul Williams, and the late, great Jackie Gleason). The lyrics and theme of the song loosely fit the storyline of Balto 3 (or part of it...the only part of the lyrics which don't really link up are the brief mentions of the southern cities of Texarkana and Atlanta, and about beer, which are from the Smokey & The Bandit movie).
Steele - The Lonesome Loser
:
This video combines the 1979 hit "Lonesome Loser" (by the Australian pop/rock group
The Little River Band) with clips from the cartoon movies "Balto" and "Balto 2: Wolf Quest" (© 1995 Universal Pictures/Amblimation, and © 2001 Universal Studios, respectively). In this video, Balto has to come to terms with his daughter Aleu's growing frustration about not knowing who she is (and needing to find that out). He makes one last fatherly attempt to give her advice about looking inward at herself, and about romance. And he uses an example from his own past of how things can go wrong -- Steele, the "lonesome loser" of Nome.
Dedicated to a Father and Son
:
This video incorporates clips from the cartoon movie "Balto 3: Wings of Change" (© 2004 Universal Studios) with the song "Pater Noster" by Magna Canta (from the album "Sanctuary", © 2005 Intentcity Records). The song itself is the Latin version of the Christian "Our Father" prayer. But it's really the music, and the background chant that struck me as inspirational for this video (the lyrics really don't fit, no matter the language they may be in). When you hear it, you may understand why!
Borderline
:
The song is "Borderline", by bluegrass singer Alison Krauss (who's got an INCREDIBLE voice!). Clips are from the movie "Balto 2: Wolf Quest" - © 2000 Universal Studios.
I think you'll find, if you know the storyline of this Balto movie, that the lyrics fit the character of Aleu perfectly (Aleu is Balto's headstrong daughter, who runs away to seek out the meaning of the inner urgings of her wolf side). She ends up making up with her dad after an argument (sparked by his revealing to her that she's got wolf blood in her, and that's why no human wants to adopt her...because she just looks "too much like a wolf"), and then becomes the leader of a wolf pack they both ran into during their adventures (when Balto pursues her into the wilderness to try and reason with her and bring her home).

Thanks for noticing! That avatar is Togo, the original and real Togo. Hero of the serum run. Or one of them. |

I was wondering what happened to them. Good to see that problem has
been fixed. By the way, that's a cool new avatar you've got there.
Who's in it? |

Hey everyone! Er...had to delete my gallery and repost, thanks to the
mess that "cracker" (whom steet talked about in his recent news on the
front page) created on the site. Back in action, and back with lots
of my old videos, some of which are real crowd-pleasers! Enjoy! |
