• How do I register?

Go to the top of the site and click "register." Then fill out the required information. Keep in mind, your E-mail needs to be valid or you won't be able to participate. If you can't have an E-mail, you can post messages as a guest. After that you will have to activate your account. Follow the instructions that the E-mail gives you. If you run into problems, chances are you did something incorrectly, or there is a glitch in the registration system. If you've done everything correctly, and you're still having problems, contact Steet, the owner and webmaster of this site.

• What is spam?

Spam is when you post useless messages, or useing too many smilies in a post. Or just smilies all together.

• What is SMS?

SMS stands for short messaging system.(using u to write you. Or y to spell why, etc) This isn't against the rules anymore, but I don't suggest you write this way. It's annoying, and not everyone here is a native English speaker; it makes it harder for them to understand.

• How do I get an avatar?

Go to my profile---> Edit my profile---> Change my avatar. From there select an avatar from your computer. Make sure the file is: JPG, GIF, or PNG. BMP files are allowed too.

An alternate way to add a avatar is to add it to the URL of your avatar where you can edit your country, etc. This is good if you want to directly add an avatar from an existing link.

While I'm telling you about avatars, this is how you add them on the forums as well!

Go to User control panel---> Profile--> Edit avatar---> From there upload your image. If you get an error, double check the dimensions and file size of the avatar! The max is: Maximum dimensions; width: 200 pixels, height: 200 pixels, file size: 97.66 KiB.

• How do I get a signature?

Take the same steps as above, BUT go to "Edit signature this time." You will need to upload your signature to an image hosting site such as: imageshack.us, photobucket.com, iaza.com, tinypic.com. Any place that you may know of. Get the direct URL of the image and the paste it into the text box. For an example here is mine. That should get you your sig!

• How long does it take for a mod to activate my submission?

Chances are we're just as clueless as you are, as there is no answer to that. The mods will activate your submission when they get around to it. Remember, all of the mods have the rest of the sites to check as well, so it may take some time. If you have been waiting 4 weeks or more, you should contact one of the mods to let them know you have been waiting awhile. You can contact them by viewing the staff page and clicking on their name.

You should also check to make sure it wasn't deactivated before you contact a mod. You can do that by taking the same steps as if you were sending in the submisstion.

• How do I send to the site?

Simple, just click on send to the site.

Also, as a reminder, if you're sending something to the site for a first time, it must be related to the source. No renders of your characters, no stories on your characters, etc. It MUST be strictly related to the movie. There is also a ratio, but most people just ignore this, and it isn't enforced. The ratio 1:4.

• How do I render!?

Before you go and ask this question on the questions page, you should be able to find your questions regarding on how to render here. There are lots of tutorials on the forums as well. Use the search button on the forums to find them. Note: You must be registered on Animation Source in order to view forum topics.

• How do I blend images?

There are multiple programs out there that will allow you to blend images such as: Photoshop, GIMP, photofiltre, and more. Answers for how to blend images. You can even find tutorials on the forums! There are also tutorials on YouTube, check that out if you can.

• Will there ever be a Balto 4?

No, there will never be a Balto 4. Balto III Wings of change didn't do very well on the market, and Universal has shutdown its animation studio. Questions related to Balto 4. If you want to discuss Balto 4, here is the official topic. Any new topics on Balto 4 will be locked by the moderators.

• How do I make a character?

You need to be registered on the site to send characters.

Sending in characters is very easy. Just go the character page and click "create new character" Add your info and you're done! Characters don't need to be validated by the mods anymore, so it will up immediately. Questions related on how to make characters.

• How do I change my group/pack?

Normally you would change this by going into your forum profile, but as of now that option isn't working. Questions related to how to change my group/pack.

• Packs

A pack, flock, heard, or whatever your case may be, a pack is nothing more than a group of members who are well, packs. Take the Rovermutts for example, they're a well known pack among some sites of Animation Source.

How do I make/ join a pack?

To join a pack, you firstly need to find a pack with open rolls. Follow the instructions given. To make a pack, there really isn't a right or wrong way. (forgive me if I'm wrong, I'm not into packs) As to where to send them, most of them end up in the projects. Sometimes you can find them in profiles or forum sections.

• Is Aniu the white wolf?

Yes, Aniu was intended to be the white wolf from the first movie. See here.

• will there be bla bla bla Source?

This is one of them questions that can either be answered (sometimes not at all), or chances are the site is in the works. Check this topic, you may find your answer here.

• Can there be a  bla bla bla Source?

It isn't that simple, site ideas must be suggested in the topic I linked above. Keep in mind, Steet can't accept everyone's ideas.

Steet " Why not everything? Because I want to give the "Animation Source" a direction. I want to look further into similar themes, especially western traditional animation, because there are so many films/series that deserve to be part of it. Especially when you're considering that traditional animation really needs all the advertisement it can gets, because it's currently dying slowly, and I just can't accept that."

• How do I link to other characters? (all links work the same)

This is called a hyper link, and it's VERY easy to accomplish! Copy the URL from your desired location. Then have your text ready. For example: Click here. Highlight that area with your cursor and press the earth with a chain on the text editor. Paste in the link and your done!

• Something happened!! What do I do!!??

If you found a problem with the site, like an error code for example, don't PM/E-mail Steet! Report it in the*bug topic*. Remember, when reporting a problem, be specific!

Steet "This is the topic where you should report the bugs you've found on the site. Please post a message with the following information :

- Brief title of the bug
- Description of what happens (especially gives the error messages, if there is any)
- What was expected instead
- Where does it happen? (which site, which page?) If possible, give the links you used / the information you entered / etc, to get to this bug."
