Boris est la figure paternelle adoptive de Balto. Soucieux et protectif à son égard, il sera de précieux conseil lors des moments les plus difficiles. En premier lieu, l’oie refuse d’accompagner Balto à travers sa quête, jusqu’au moment où il verra la condition de santé de la petite Rosie à travers la fenêtre de la chambre d’hôpital. Originaire de la Russie, les motifs de son arrivée à Nome sont toutefois inconnus. Il rencontrera éventuellement Stella, une oie pour le moins hors du commun, qui fera fondre son cœur…
