Luk speaks in bear

Saberbone_662 :

Some of you may think that Luk mumbles while Muk does all the talking. According to my research, in fact, Luk does speak! It is just that he speaks in bear.

Proof: Balto 1

When Boris tries to convince Balto not to go, the duo bumb into Muk and Luk, when Luk tries to mumble something, Boris out right answers him, then he realizes.

Boris: Oh no! I'm starting to speak the bear!

All that I've heard Luk use for communication is whines, whimpers, and various other sounds, and it's up to Muk to translate them. This reminds me a lot of the classic sci-fi droid duo R2-D2 and C-3PO from Star Wars. As anyone who has seen those movies knows, R2-D2 speaks in beeps, buzzes, and whistles and needs a droid like C-3PO to translate those sounds. In fact, in a recent fan commentary session for Balto 3 on Skype featuring myself, Metalingus, Kiko The Freako, and dpstq, I mentioned this interesting fact myself. Coincidence? You be the judge.

Luk doesn't really know how to speak bear. Luk is retarded (and I don't mean that as an insult).

Cat is quite right. There is no "bear language" at work here. I would looooove to hear about this research you've done which concludes that bears have an actual language. :icon332:

Boris' actual line was, and I quote, "oh no! I am beginning to understand the bear!"

He was referring to Luk as "the bear" >> Its not a "bear" language. Bears don't hoot or whatever you want to call it. Did you hear the grizzly bear make any of those noises Luk was making? xD No.

Luk is just making noises, and Muk, being his brother and being around him so often, can understand him. And since Boris was around them so often, supposedly, he's freaking out that he was about to understand the gibberish, and to Boris its probably a sign that its effecting his intelligence negatively.
